Ethiopian Airlines to Launch DC 787 Dreamliner Service from D.C.

Ethiopian Airlines plans to begin nonstop flights in October from Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) to Addis Ababa (ADD), Ethiopia, using its new Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which it recently took delivery of.
The airline offers more than 40 connections in Addis Ababa to destinations in Africa. The airline is offering a special promotional fare on flights through Nov. 30.
Members of the Ethiopian Airlines’ ShebaMiles program, are eligible to receive Bonus Miles for travel through Nov. 7. Discounted award tickets also will be available for travel through Oct. 31.
“The 787 Dreamliner brings a new level of aircraft advances to the traveling public,” said Tewolde Gebremariam, chief executive officer of Ethiopian Airlines.
“Its composite material structure is lighter and consumes less fuel than a similar-sized aircraft constructed from other materials. Passengers will appreciate the more comfortable humidity, cabin pressure and air filtration technologies, which provide a more comfortable cabin experience.
The 787 Dreamliner has the largest windows in the sky and high-tech digital controls, which allow passengers to control the amount of light they prefer.
These many upgraded amenities, along with Ethiopian Airlines’ top-notch service, help passengers arrive to their destinations comfortably and less fatigued.”
