Royal Caribbean Ranked as Best Domestic Line for Advanced Marketing

Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. is the top domestic cruise line in the use of advanced marketing, according to a report by Market 21, an advisory firm in the use of advanced marketing tools.

RCCL’s Celebrity Cruises came in second among the large cruise lines, while Azamara, another RCCL brand, tied for first among luxury lines with Seabourn.

RCCL won on overall strength of performance, Market 21 said. Some other lines were leaders in specific areas, but RCCL posted a strong across-the-board performance.

However, competitors gaining ground with innovations include Norwegian Cruise Line, Crystal Cruises and Disney Cruise Line.

The “Cruise Line Marketing Review” measured 12 domestic lines against 18 criteria to determine how well they were performing using the current technologies, and how well they are prepared to move up to the newer technologies as they develop.
