Ethiopian Airlines to Launch Africa’s First 787 Dreamliner

Ethiopian Airlines will launch Africa’s first Boeing 787 Dreamliner on Aug. 16.

Ethiopian will be the first airline in Africa to offer service on the new Boeing aircraft, the largest aircraft ever.

Ethiopian Airlines’ new 787 will take off from Washington Dulles International Airport and fly to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. At press time, seats are still available for the inaugural flight.

Besides larger capacity, the 787 is noted for having bigger windows providing better views, higher humidity levels, new air filtration technologies, quieter operation and improved lighting and interior architecture.

Regularly scheduled, nonstop flights from Dulles to Addis will begin in the fall.
