Alaska Airlines Fall fare sale for travel in the US
August 25, 2010
Fall is one of the best times to travel. Crowds are fewer because the kids are back in school and as the calendar creeps towards winter, the stiflingly hot temps found in many parts of the U.S. dip to a pleasant warmth or a brisk but invigorating coolness. It's low or shoulder season in many parts of the country, and great deals and discounts are easy to find.
Alaska Airlines is offering a fantastic fall promotion, good for travel from Sept. 18 to Dec. 15, with a few exceptions.
Fares from Portland start at just $39 each way (plus taxes and fees) from Spokane, with additional fares to Phoenix, Yakima, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Reno, Denver, and Las Vegas ranging from $79-$99 each way. Flights to Bozeman, St. Louis, Houston and Tuscon range from $109-$119 each way, and flights to Austin, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, and Calgary range from $124-$149 each way. You can even score flights to Miami and New York for $169 each way and flights to Alaska starting at $189 each way.
Tickets must be purchased by Aug. 31, and a 14-day advance purchase is required. The fare is good for travel on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Saturday. Seats are limited and may not be available on all flights on all days.
These deals have limited availability and blackout dates do apply. As always, details are subject to change, so check directly with the airline to confirm.
