US travel program to introduce Taiwan culture and cuisine

An US TV program production team led by host Burt Wolf visited Taiwan to shoot a program, featuring Taiwan’s culture, cuisine and local celebrities who’re household names in the US, the Chinese-language Liberty Times reported Sunday.

Internationally-renowned director Ann Lee, Taiwan’s world famous pitcher Wang Chien-ming, and YouTube founder Steve Chen were among Wolf’s interview list. He also met Cloud Gate founder Lin Hwai-min. These people are amazing, said Wolf.

Visiting Taiwan for the tenth time, Wolf is a fan for Taiwan light snacks. In his eyes, Taiwan gathers the essence of all types of traditional Chinese cuisines, has unique culture, arts and ethnic groups, and allows the existence of diverse religion beliefs.

I feel the changes and advancements every time I visit Taiwan, noted Wolf, adding that, but the only thing that never changes, is the hospitable people.

Burt Wolf, who has produced several travel programs for CNN and ABC, know for his capability of conducting lively tours on local history, food, folklore, arts, festivals, theater and tourist attractions of fascinating destinations around the world.

The one-hour long program will be on screen on the end of this year, the report said.
